Music4Unityβs mission is to bring people together through live music, creating inclusive community experiences that celebrate connection, creativity, and shared joy.
In a time when many people feel disconnected from one another, Music4Unity exists to create spaces where community can come together in meaningful ways. Live music has a unique ability to break down barriers, spark conversation, and remind us of our shared humanity. We believe that when people gather around music β in parks, neighborhoods, and public spaces β something powerful happens: strangers become neighbors, and moments become memories.
Music4Unity is a Treasure Coastβbased nonprofit dedicated to bringing our community together through the power of music. π Founded by local performers Charles Jones and Karin Leone, Music4Unity creates free and low-cost live music experiences that spark connection, joy, and togetherness for people of all ages and backgrounds.
The inspiration for Music4Unity β and for our signature event, Sunday Jazz in the Park β has deep roots. Growing up in East Stuart, Sundays often meant music filling the air. Local DJ Donnie Cook would play at the Civic Center, and the sound carried throughout the neighborhood. It felt like a festival: young and old coming together to hang out, laugh, dance, and simply be present with one another. Those moments left an indelible mark and planted the seed for what would eventually become Music4Unity.
As a teenager, music became both a comfort and a ritual. Jazz and R&B played through a Walkman while flipping through magazines filled with beautiful architecture and scenic photography, or walking down to the river to watch the sun set over the water. Music, atmosphere, and place were always connected β calm, reflective, and grounding.
Years later, that same longing remained: a desire for good music, a relaxed vibe, and a beautiful setting where people could gather without pressure or pretense. When it became clear that no one was creating that space, the choice was simple β create it.
From Sunday Jazz in the Park to neighborhood festivals, sing-alongs, and interactive music games, Music4Unity was born from the belief that music belongs in shared spaces and everyday moments. We donβt just host events β we build community through rhythm, harmony, and heart.

Music4Unity brings our original vision to life through thoughtfully curated, community-centered music experiences across the Treasure Coast. Our events are designed to be welcoming, accessible, and rooted in the belief that music is meant to be shared.
We produce free and low-cost live music events in public spaces, including our monthly Sunday Jazz in the Park, neighborhood block parties, and special pop-up performances. Each gathering blends high-quality music with a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere where people of all ages can come together to listen, connect, and enjoy being part of the community.
Through interactive elements such as sing-alongs, music games, and participatory experiences, Music4Unity invites people to engage with music in ways that feel joyful, inclusive, and meaningful β not intimidating or exclusive.
